Large-Scale Coronal Structures Associated with Solar Activity

Abstract

AbstractWe summarize observations of filament eruptions, post-flare loops, giant post-flare arches, flaring arches, surges, coronal responses to chromospheric brightenings, and interconnecting loops, made bySkylabandSMM, and confront some of them with soft X-ray observations recently made byYohkoh. It seems likely that many structures observed by Yohkoh are the same phenomena that were seen before, but it may be sometimes difficult to identify them correctly.
