Developments in sheep production and their implications for the maintenance of health

Abstract

Professor Bunting of the Faculty of Agriculture at Reading University, said, when speaking to an International Seminar on Change in Agriculture (Bunting, 1969), ‘the traditional division between veterinary medicine and animal production is wider in many countries than the interests of the producer and the consumer require’. The BSAP has made a step towards bridging the gap by holding this meeting. As a veterinarian I am sure I speak for all my colleagues when I express our appreciation of the interest members of the Society have shown in improving this relationship.
