Abstract
SummaryAnian veterinarians have much expertise which can be usefully applied to in situ avian conservation programmes. Their knowledge can assist conservation biologists in many of the manipulations which they are currently applying to endangered wild birds in their natural range. Possibilities are outlined and illustrated by examples from various field programmes.
