Abstract
AbstractThe general properties of stars in the mass range 7–12M⊙, also referred to assuper-AGBstars, are reviewed and special attention is paid to determine how their mass range depends on the initial metallicity and what fraction of these stars end their life as ONe white dwarfs or explode as electron-capture supernova.
