Transformation of Television Broadcast in Turkey in The Context of Digitalization: Disney Plus Platform

Abstract

As in many other fields, the digitalization process is creating innovations in the media industry. Television is also affected by the digitalization process, and in this context are changing both the broadcast content and the audience profile. At the same time, this process, which requires having digital skills, creates a transformation in terms of technique and content. The existence of digital platforms also demonstrates the integration of digitalized television broadcasting with internet technology. In fact, the current study has focused on the transformation of television broadcasting. In this direction, the conceptual framework is being constructed and the information obtained through document analysis is included. The Disney Plus platform, which is about to start broadcasting in Turkey, is selected as an example and the transformation of television broadcasting is examined in the context of this platform.
