Abstract

Abstract The transient emission technique in the time domain has been used to determine the pressure dependence of the coherent dephasing time T2 of sulfur dioxide in mixtures with O2 and N2 for several rotational transitions in the vibrational ground state. From these data line broadening parameters Δv/p and collisional cross-sections are calculated.
