Abstract
K3CU3P2 was obtained by melting potassium, copper and red phosphorus in an sealed copper vessel. The compound crystallizes trigonally with a = 572 ± 2 pm, c = 1993 ± 3 pm, R3m, Z = 3. The structure analysis revealed nets of puckered 12-membered rings in which the Cu-atoms are linearly coordinated while the P-atoms are located on the apices of trigonal pyramids
