1. NAPRALERT: computer handling of natural product research data
2. Suffness, M. Symposium on Biologically Active Natural Products. Lausanne, Switzerland. pp.25
3. Considering our extraction methods (methanol and/or chloroform), we have selected standard conditions as follows: The column is a C-18 (TechniKrom) column with a C-18 guard column. The solvent system consists of water (A), and acetonitrile (B) and is a gradient set up as: 0–1 min. 100% A, 1 to 8 min. to 50% A/ 50% B, 8 to 20 min. to 100% B, and held at 100% B for a further 10 min. There is a 10 min. equilibration period at 100% A prior to each injection
4. Though we use the NAPRALERT database, it would be possible to achieve the same end using Chemical Abstracts, Beilstein, Medline or other databases
